Holman, who played tennis in high school himself, began coaching the girls team in 1976. Two years later, he started coaching the boys team as well. Since then, he's held that role for the better part of a half-century.
Recently, Holman tallied his 2,500th win across both teams. Students made posters and a plaque to celebrate his historic accomplishment.
As for Holman, his greatest prize is being surrounded by ambitious students who are not only passionate about tennis, but also about their future careers.
