Pa. mom writes books about inclusion inspired by her children

PHOENIXVILLE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Jannesy DeLeon chose her daughter and son to be the protagonists in her series of children's books about including those with disabilities.

DeLeon, who is from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, first published Tag! You're it, by BiblioKid Publishing in 2022.

The book stars Gabby, who is in a wheelchair, and her desire to play tag with a group of children.

Recently, DeLeon published her third book, Here Comes Sam, about the family's pet dog.

DeLeon's books and other trinkets can be discovered at Soltane Cafe in Phoenixville. She says the shop is the perfect partner, given their mission to employ people of all abilities.
