That's the case at Gloucester County Institute of Technology, where students pursue a focused education in culinary arts, engineering, cosmetology, and more.
Today, students from each field of study brought something to the table to create a day to remember for local veterans.
The annual event is known as 'Love Our Vets Day.'
The morning began with a hero's welcome for veterans and spouses of veterans from three different organizations. Those involved came from All Americans Assisted Living at Washington Township, New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland, and Gloucester County Veterans.
Students provided hair and nail care, served a luncheon, performed in theater and dance, and created ornaments for veterans to take home.
Watch the video above to see a few of the special moments that occurred throughout the day.
