The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. near North Delsea Drive and West Park Avenue.
The impact sent one of the cars off the roadway and onto its roof.
A utility pole was also snapped in half.
Police say the driver of a Ford pickup truck left the roadway and struck a Toyota Camry that was stopped by the exit of the McDonald's.
The driver of that Toyota, 42-year-old Diana Reyes of Vineland, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck, 57-year-old James Reustle of Vineland, was flown to Cooper University Hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
