Report of tornado damage across northwest Harris County, Christine Dobbyn reports.

HOUSTON, Texas - It came quickly and it was captured from almost every angle. Zach Steel had his cell phone out on his balcony before he decided to take cover.

"This is the first tornado I've ever seen and I wanted to make sure it wasn't my last so I decided to call it quits and go inside," said Steele.

"Looked between the houses and saw it, coming right at me. So I ran around and told my wife and step-daughter. Got my grandson and the dogs and went into a closet," said Dale Folmer

There were many eyewitnesses who stared danger in the eye. Eyewitnesses captured video of what appeared to be a tornado touching down near Barker Cypress Road and West Road.

"We just saw on y'alls channel that there was a tornado coming into this area," said Folmer.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez got a first-hand look at the damage in Lone Oak Village where downed fences, torn rooftops and toppled trees impacted at least 30 homes.

"We know we still have more rain coming and so we're concerned about that. We're going to continue to adapt. We have all personnel and resources in place ready to respond to any scenario and we appreciate you being out there and the community rally around one another," said Gonzalez.

The Sheriff says the tornado touched down at least four times. It played leap frog over the Frier's home.

"It hit here, bounced over our house," said Jay Frier.

His wife Trina added, "I had the phone in my hand when the warning came. By then it sounded like a wind tunnel."

In seconds, neighbors saw a tornado headed right towards them and then damage but in the end they were relieved they could still see each other.

"Everybody in the neighborhood area is safe, it's just stuff that can be replaced and that's what's good right now," said Folmer.
