It happened around 7:30 p.m. on the unit block of Isabella Road in West Nantmeal Township.
The view from Chopper 6 showed the home completely destroyed.
But before the blaze was extinguished, authorities say a man inside the burning home fired gunshots at police.
The resident was later taken into custody after being shot in the leg. It's still unclear who shot him.
