PayPal offers $500 advances for government workers during shutdown

PayPal is stepping in to help workers impacted by the government shutdown.

The company says it plans to offer federal employees cash advances of up to $500 to help pay for food, gas and other necessities.

PayPal is joining several other banks and credit unions that are offering financial help for customers as the shutdown drags on.
