A fire raced through a stretch or rowhomes early Saturday morning, injuring two women.

Flames broke out in a rowhome on the 1200 block of North 60th Street in West Philadelphia.

Several people called 911 to report the fire.

Firefighters responded to the block and began battling the blaze.

The fire spread quickly to four other homes on the block.

Most residents managed to escape the fire unharmed.

Investigators say a woman in her sixties was burned by the fire. Firefighters had to use a ladder to rescue a woman in her nineties.

She suffered smoke inhalation.

Investigators have not determined what sparked the fire.
