Shoppers hoping for last minute deals

December 24, 2007 When asked if he loves the pressure, Edward Harper of Hydesville, Maryland said, "It is what it is."

"I'm doing a little better than last year. Last year, I started a day before Christmas, I got a two week jump this year, but I'm representing for the men," Van Barrett of Exton, PA said.

It did seem like the stressed out shoppers were mostly men.

While some needed a massage in the middle of it all, others just wished Santa Claus could take over the whole "Christmas gift thing."

Action News spoke with Anthony Chapman from Reading at the new Premium Outlet Mall in Limerick.

"I'm just trying to squeeze in a last minute thing and it's tough," Chapman said, "It's never ending. I will be glad when it's over."

Nobody was more stressed out than Walter Vormschleg of Schwenksville who just started shopping for his wife.

"Now my wife knows," Vormschleg said.

Late Christmas shoppers are closing in at the finish line as they try to get the last minute deals at the checkout line.
