Text threat sends police to Brick high school

School is open at Brick Memorial High School, but police are there following circulation of a text message warning of a possible shooting. Police say the threat is not credible, but just to be safe, they've sent officers to the school as a precaution.

Police Capt. John Rein says a text message began circulating among students over the weekend warning them not to go to school on Monday because there would be a shooting.

He says nothing has happened at the school, however.

Police were able to trace the phone on which the text message originated, but still haven't been able to identify who started the rumor.
