Bill Bradley endorses Barack Obama

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - January 7, 2008 The Democrat from New Jersey has endorsed the Illinois senator.

A onetime presidential candidate himself, Bradley cites Obama's ability to bring people together for change.

Bradley says Obama is building a bipartisan coalition that is bringing back idealism to politics.

Bradley sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2000, but lost to then-vice president Al Gore.

Bradley represented New Jersey in Washington from 1979-1997.
