A 20-inch water main erupted into a geyser this morning in West Philadelphia. The water main break happened shortly before 11 o'clock at 55th and Lansdowne. The water shot almost 30 feet into the air.

Authorities have shut down the main but repairs could take 6 to 8 hours.

They are still trying to determine if water service was disrupted for homes and businesses in the area.
