Tuned In to Cold War Kids

The Cold War Kids' sensuality of expression has drawn critical acclaim from Los Angeles to Europe, toying with the mind as well as the ears of those captivated by their music. The band describes their sound as soul/punk, emphasizing the marriage of hard riffs and deep lyricism in their songs. Their aim is to tell a story with their work, drawing comparison to Bob Dylan. They have apparently done so successfully - writing in a way that invites anyone to put him or herself in the story.

Revolving around Long Beach, California, Cold War Kids have developed an amazing stage presence, which has landed them on tours with bands such as Clap Your hands, Say Yeah, The White Stripes, Dr. Dog, and Muse.

They opened for Muse at Penn's Landing in August. Hundreds were mesmerized by the band's performance at Festival Pier, listening intently as CWK jammed on stage. Check out songs from their performance in our video center on the right side of your screen.

Now YOU are Tuned In to ... Cold War Kids!
