A fake crack cocaine bust prompted a neighborhood evacuation Sunday afternoon. Residents of the 1200 block of West Wyoming Street in Logan complained of smelling fumes and were evacuated. There wasn't a methamphetamine lab in a neighborhood basement, as first thought.

Police say a man had been cooking something made to look like crack cocaine to sell.

He's charged with manufacturing counterfeit narcotics.

Residents are now back in their homes.
