Delaware's U.S. marshal says officers have arrested a Wilmington cocaine trafficking suspect in Philadelphia.

Brandon Coates of New Castle was arrested just before 10 a.m. at a Southwest Philadelphia restaurant. Authorities had him under surveillance as he and a woman entered the restaurant.

He'd been on the run for more than a year, following a September 2006 incident in which he allegedly rammed a vehicle driven by a state probation and parole officer and fled to avoid arrest on charges related to cocaine dealing.

Coates waived extradition to Delaware and was brought to the New Castle County Sheriff's Department.
