The need for doggie blood donors

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) - January 22, 2008 Susan Godden regularly takes her chocolate Lab to donate to the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank at an animal hospital in Westminster, Maryland. Godden says Samantha likes to give blood because she gets treats and "a lot of lovin'." Officials of the blood bank say few people know there's a need for canine blood donations and that most large dogs can be donors.
