The BARTA bus caught fire around 4:30 Monday afternoon on Route 12 in Alsace Township, Berks County.
The driver, 29-year-old Lauri Serrano, pulled over to the side of the road and helped the riders off. None of them was injured.
State police say one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation and an EMT was treated for an ankle injury.
