Pig dodges bullets on school grounds

There's no word from police if a Greenwood butcher will face any charges for shooting at a runaway hog while it was on school property. The gunfire happened Wednesday after the 300-pound hog escaped from his pen and ran across the street onto the grounds of the Greenwood Mennonite School.

The butcher tells WBOC-TV his first thought when the hog escaped was to stop it from causing a traffic accident or hurting children at the school.

The children went inside, and the butcher says he fired away from the school. After he missed the hog, he and others managed to get it back across the street then killed it.

The butcher says if the same situation happens again he won't use a gun.
