The University of Pennsylvania has ordered an admissions officer to stop outside consulting work in which she offers students advice on getting into college. Judith Hodara is an associate director of MBA admissions at Penn's Wharton School.

She has her own college consulting company and sits on the advisory board of a Japanese company that helps students get into MBA programs in the U.S. -- including Wharton.

Hodara also hosts podcasts for, a site that helps students get into business schools.

A university spokesman says Hodara has stopped all outside consulting activities.
