But, here's some encouraging news for snow-lovers: On average, February is the snowiest month of the year in Philadelphia. In fact, the snowiest month ever in the city of Philadelphia was February 2003! The Presidents' Day Storm of 2003 accounted for nearly 19" of the 29.6" of snow we got that month. Other big February snowfalls include: 12.4" in 1978, 13.9" in 1979, and 21.1" in 1983. Even in March, the Blizzard of '93 delivered nearly a foot of snow for Philadelphia.- Erica
