Court documents are giving some new details on why Britney Spears' father has sought to have her business manager fired. James Spears says Howard Grossman circumvented court orders by providing his daughter with a car after she was released from a psychiatric ward last Wednesday.

Britney Spears was seen cruising around Los Angeles later that day in a Mercedes-Benz with a swarm of paparazzi on her tail.

The documents also state that Grossman arranged for Spears to meet with an attorney, despite court orders that prevent her from talking with any lawyer without her father's permission.

A court has given James Spears temporary control over the pop star's assets. A hearing on the temporary conservatorship is scheduled for Thursday.
