A Lehigh County bank teller who rifled the vault for nearly $600,000 since 2001, to pay for everything from European vacations to appliance repairs, is facing a prison term. Donna Wisneski's husband appeared shocked and her son and daughter cried when County Judge William Ford sentenced her Thursday. She's facing 16 to 48 months in state prison.

The 43-year-old Wisneski says the first time she took money from the safe at Harleysville National Bank in Slatington she thought she would pay it back and no one would know. Her attorney, John Waldron, says she wasn't using the money for gambling or drugs. She says she paid for vacations, clothing, restaurant meals and credit card debt.

She has signed a promissory note with the bank's insurance company pledging to repay $1,000 a month.
