A Wilmington school's janitor has been arrested on drug charges after Delaware State Police say he took frequent trips to his car during his shift at night and was seen exchanging something with people in the school parking lot. Police say 45-year-old James Hill of Newark was working at Richardson Park Elementary School after students went home.

Red Clay School District officials called police Tuesday after Hill was seen making hand-to-hand transactions with several people in the parking lot.

Inside Hill's car, police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and 20 Vicodin pills. No drugs were found during a search of the school.

Hill is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, maintaining a vehicle for keeping narcotics, and possession with intent to deliver.
