Deadly crash splits car in half

A high speed crash killed a man early this morning in southern New Jersey.

It happened around 2 a.m. on Somerdale Road near Stonegate Road in Gloucester Township, Camden County.

The force of the crash split a BMW in half. The driver died at the scene.

Police say the car went out of control and ran into a utility pole. Officers kept the road closed for 3 hours while they investigated and the wreckage was taken away.

The victim's name has not been released.
