Records show Kimberly Donaghy did not appear at a hearing Tuesday after requesting protection against her husband last week. She wrote in her petition that Tim Donaghy threatened to hit her during an argument and abused their four children.
The Herald of Bradenton reported Tim Donaghy's attorney, Edward Sobel, told a judge during the hearing that the Donaghys shared an Easter meal on Sunday.
The restraining order request was filed March 17, days after Manatee County sheriff's deputies were called to the couple's Bradenton home because they were fighting.
According to a report, the argument was verbal and, "no injuries were observed." The pair were fighting over their upcoming divorce, the report stated. They have been married since 1995.
A receptionist at Sobel's office told The Associated Press on Wednesday the firm did not have any comment. Kimberly Donaghy's attorney is on vacation and was unavailable for comment, an assistant said.
Tim Donaghy pleaded guilty last year to charges he conspired to engage in wire fraud and transmitted betting information through interstate commerce. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in April.
Donaghy acknowledged he provided NBA betting picks to gambling associates based on inside information. Authorities allege he also bet on games he officiated.
