Corzine mulls legal action over NYC toll hike

Governor Corzine may take legal action against New York City's plan to charge drivers extra tolls to enter congested parts of Manhattan.

New York's plan inched closer to approval on Monday with backing from the City Council, but Corzine said today that the plan isn't fair to New Jersey drivers.

Corzine said he was dismayed by a proposal to either have the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey give $1 billion to the city's Metropolitan Transportation Authority -- or charge New Jersey drivers $3 atop bridge and tunnel tolls to get into the city during rush hours.
