Two fire departments had to help a woman chasing a bird.

Authorities say the woman was as her fiance's apartment along New Rodgers Road in Levittown when his expensive pet bird escape Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m.

The woman climbed up a tree to get the bird, but once she did she wasn't able to climb back down without letting the bird go.

However, the woman was able to call 911, and firefighters from the Penndell and William Penn fire departments responded and used a ladder truck to get the woman and the bird out of the tree.
