Body moved to retain hotel's reputation

It sounds like something out of the movie "Weekend at Bernie's." Authorities in Martinique responded to a hotel owner's complaint about a man sleeping in a car. But the man wasn't sleeping -- he was dead.

Officials say the man's mistress said he died during sex. She enlisted the help of a hotel manager to move the body, so the hotel's reputation wouldn't be smeared.

Police say the pair told them they parked the car with the body inside, turned on the radio and left. That was two years ago, but the case was finally heard in a Martinique court this week.

A judge ordered the accused to pay $7,000 in fines for tampering with a cadaver and transporting it before burial.
