Spice buyer needs a strong stomach

Albert Goetze III needs a good nose and an even stronger stomach.

He's traveled the world eating lamb brains, cobra, fried scorpions and camel hooves.

But he doesn't star in one of those gross-out cable channel shows.

He's the chief spice buyer for Baltimore-based McCormick and Company.

In the process, he's had to dodge bullets and rioters.

He also eats some pretty strange things to win the trust of farmers and sample the spices.

Goetze says he just tries to be himself, no matter what's on the dinner menu.
