The fire hit the home of Frank Wyant, 68, on Main Street Monday afternoon just before 4 p.m.
After firefighters notified police about what they saw, investigators got a search warrant and recovered 2 vans of evidence when they searched the home at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Investigators say the items included hundreds of pornographic pictures, including child porn.
Wyant was charged with possessing child pornography and arraigned and sent to the Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
