A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire at Woodcrest Villa near Lancaster.

Two hundred people were evacuated from the Mennonite home community Tuesday night as firefighters struggled to put the fire out.

Rohrerstown Deputy Fire Chief Craig Irwin tells WHP-TV that firefighters had trouble reaching the blaze in what he describes as a pit area of the roof, but he says the fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

In Montgomery County, one man is dead and his wife hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning - possibly from an electrical generator the couple was using after storms knocked out their power.

Utility crews are still laboring to restore power to hundreds of customers in southeastern Pennsylvania.
