A three-day sweep of parents sought for delinquent child support has resulted in 1,020 arrests. The Sheriff's Association of New Jersey said Friday that the effort resulted in the collection of nearly $298,000 of the $13.1 million owed by the noncustodial parents.

The twice-yearly effort took place in all 21 counties.

It was also aimed at parents who have failed to appear at court hearings to establish a child support order or order for medical support.
