It happened near the intersection of Haddon and Kaighn avenues in Camden, at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a man being chased by an armed gunman jumped into the woman's car. The gunman then opened fire on the car, hitting both the man and the woman.
The man was killed. The woman was shot in the back. She's in critical condition at Cooper Hospital.
The suspect hasn't yet been caught.
