Authorities say a 4-year-old girl apparently drowned at a water park in Lancaster.

East Lampeter Township police say medical units were dispatched to Caribbean Indoor Water Park shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday. Police say medical personnel arrived to find bystanders trying to revive the girl.

Rescuers from the Lafayette Fire Company and Lancaster Emergency Medical Services Association continued CPR and took the girl to Lancaster General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Dr. Stephen Diamantoni, the Lancaster County coroner, calls the case an apparent drowning but says an autopsy will be done Monday to determine if other factors were involved.

The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of family members.
