Reward doubled in Zabel murder case

The Citizens Crime Commission is now offering $20,000 for info leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Beau Zabel. Zabel, an aspiring teacher who had just moved to Philadelphia from his native Minnesota, was shot and killed early Sunday morning at 8th and Ellsworth, on his way home from his job at Starbucks.

Police have a surveillance video that they say shows the killer putting Zabel's iPod in a sidewalk planter and then picking it up.

The anonymous reward is being offered thru the Citizens Crime Commission at 215-546-TIPS.
