Wipe out! This new reality show, premiering tonight on 6abc, features the world's largest obstacle course. It's intentionally designed to provide the most crashes, face plants and wipeouts ever seen on television as contestants battle it out for the title of Wipeout Champion.
Each week, 24 people will compete for a cash prize of $50,000. Their goal is to complete the Wipeout obstacle course.
In coming weeks you'll meet an Australian princess. Well, she really shows up in a tiara, but she's not really a princess. There's also a professional bassist from the Fresno Philharmonic.
There is a preliminary course that is the contestant's first step. It starts with rolling logs. The real goal is to not get wet and Wipeout.
Nobody is expected to succeed.
If you fall in, you swim the rest of the way.
The key is to finish the course in the fastest time.
On the "sucker punch wall," there are 25 punching gloves and they come out at extreme speed.
Then there's the big red balls: Four big slippery nylon steps to a Wipeout.
Wipeout premieres tonight at 8 p.m. on 6abc.
