FBI releases photo of bank robbery suspect

The FBI is asking for you help in identifying the man who held up a South Philadelphia bank this morning.It happened at the Wachovia Bank located at 2710 South 3rd Street at approximately 11:19am.

The subject is described as a white man, approximately 35 to 45-years-old and approximately 5'9" to 6' tall, with a husky build and dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the bank and waited in the customer service line. Once he approached the counter he handed the teller a demand note and a black plastic bag and said he had a gun. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no injuries.

Authorities released a surveillance photo of the suspect in hope it will lead to an arrest. Anyone with information regarding this robbery should contact the FBI at (215) 418-4000.
