Isolated showers or thunderstorms are fewer, and further between, than scattered storms. Erica's Answer:
If you have isolated thunderstorms in your forecast area, most people will stay dry on that day, but there is a possibility that someone in the area could see a thunderstorm. If scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast, though, more people in the area will see thunderstorms. Still, a forecast of scattered thunderstorms is not a call for an all-day event of rain.- Erica
