Fire strikes apartments in Plumstead Twp.

PLUMSTEAD TWP., Pa. - July 29, 2008 The fire was reported just after 4:00 this afternoon at an apartment building located in the 5000 block of Durham Road.

The building is a 20-unit apartment complex that used to be a barn. The units did suffer smoke and water damage, but the barn primarily houses the library, which was hardest hit.

There are no reports of injuries.

The fire was brought under control just before 5:30.
