Man charged in Del. American Legion stabbing

Smyrna police have arrested a local man in connection with a stabbing during an apparent argument outside the American Legion post. Fifty-one-year-old William Davis is accused of stabbing the 42-year-old victim in the chest late Friday night. Police say the man suffered a severed artery and needed surgery at Kent General Hospital.

Davis was charged Saturday with attempted murder, possession of a narcotic and two weapons offenses.
