Philadelphia's white collar workers' union has formally approved the contract deal reached with the city five days ago. Action News was at Benjamin Franklin High School in North Philadelphia Tuesday night as members of district council 47 arrived for the ratification vote.

The one-year contract gives each union member an 11-hundred dollar signing bonus, in lieu of a pay raise.

The city will continue to pay 976 dollars a month toward each worker's health care plan.
