Auto shop fire ruled accidental

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. - August 20, 2008 - Action News viewer William Eric O'Bryant sent the above photos of the smoke pouring out of the building, and the firefighters who responded.

It began around 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Savitske's Auto Services at 2059 Route 212, growing to a two alarm blaze.

Investigators say the fire was ignited accidentally, caused by sparks from a cut-off saw.

The business specializes in auto restoration. The building is a total loss.

The fire department got the flames under control in about 45 minutes. No one was hurt.
