With little more than a week until most schools open, most parents are in full back-to-school mode by now. If you haven't finished shopping for clothes, you have plenty of company. A fashion trend expert says most families are waiting for the right price.

Before kids go off to class, you shop for clothes.

How much you spend varies widely by where you shop.

Traditionally, uniform stores have been least expensive, but now mass-marketers offer look-alike lines.

For most kids, denim remains a must-have.

For girls it's still embellished, but less glitzy than a year ago.

Graphic tee-shirts remain hot as well.

For girls, make that a Hannah Montana graphic tee-shirt, or maybe one from Disney's High School Musical.

Disney, by the way, also owns 6-abc.

New this year, designer names showing up at off-price retailers ike Target.

You might save half off big-name store prices at a discounter, l but parents this season are going even farther in pursuit of low prices.
