Phillies wrap up series with Nationals tonight

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - August 21, 2008 After a 2-5 West Coast road trip that dropped them from first place to second in the NL East, the Phils have been able to turn things around at home against Washington.

The Phillies posted a 5-4 win on Tuesday, then beat Washington 4-0 last night to remain 1 1/2 games back of the division-leading Mets.

Center fielder Shane Victorino went 2-for-3 with a run last night, and is 14-for-28 with two home runs, five RBIs and 10 runs during Philadelphia's seven-game winning streak over Washington.

Washington has dropped 12 straight since beating Colorado on Aug. 7.

They also have had no luck against tonight's scheduled starter, Jamie Moyer, who is in the midst of one of the best stretches of his career.
