KENSINGTON - August 26, 2008 First reports of the fire along the 2500 block of Cedar Street came in just after 10:30 a.m. Flames inside 3-story home were brought under control in a little more than 10 minutes, but authorities say a man and a toddler required hospital treatment for breathing too much smoke.
The boy had to be dropped from a 3rd floor window to a group of painters that happened to be nearby. The painters then grabbed a ladder and helped the man to safety.
So far, there's no word on a cause of the fire in Kensington.
