Murder-suicide in Hunting Park - Philadelphia news

HUNTING PARK - August 28, 2008 - Officers responding to a 7:46 p.m. call to the couple's home in the 4000 block of Fairhill Street found the bodies in a second-floor front bedroom, police said.

Police believe the man shot himself and his wife. Their names were not released.

The shootings happened while five children were inside the home, police said. The bodies were discovered by the couple's 6-year-old child. That child and others, ages 3, 2, and 1-year-old twins, were being cared for by the city's Department of Human Services last night.

Police said the children did not have any apparent injuries.
