The shooting happened late Friday night in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section.
The shots were fired around 11:45 p.m. in the 500 block of west Lycoming Street.
A man in his 20s was hit several times. Medics rushed him to Einstein Hospital but he died about a half hour later.
Police are continuing their investigation. So far, information about possible suspects has not been released.
