Brigantine beach reopens after medical debris found

BRIGANTINE, N.J. - September 3, 2008 The latest discovery comes after several beach closings in the last two weeks due to medical debris washing ashore along the South Jersey coastline.

One syringe, some gauze pads, and a medical ID tag were found on the 34th Street beach in Brigantine. The discovery prompted officials there to close all beaches.

The beaches were reopened by 2:30 p.m.
