Francis Malooly is to be installed Monday as the new bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington. Malooly was auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Baltimore when Pope Benedict XVI chose him to succeed Wilmington Bishop Michael Saltarelli, who is retiring.

Malooly will become the ninth bishop of the diocese, which includes all of Delaware and the nine counties of Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The installation ceremony will be held at St. Elizabeth Church in Wilmington.
