Police search for armed bandit

The hunt is on for the gunman who robbed a store in Allentown.

Police tell Action News the holdup happened at the Hess Gas Station in the 700 block of Hanover Avenue. Around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10th, the suspect came in, showed a handgun and demanded cash, according to police.

Nobody was hurt and the bandit ran off with some cash from the store.

The robber is described as:

  • A light-skinned Hispanic man
  • About 5' 6" to 5' 7" tall
  • Wearing a black baseball hat
  • Black hooded sweatshirt
  • dark-colored jeans
  • black shoes
